Poll: Will Healthcare.gov Meet Its Dec. 23 Deadline for Coverage?

Poll

How confident are you that exchange will be able to accommodate all consumers who wish to purchase insurance coverage by Dec. 23?

The government continues to assure consumers that the revamped Healthcare.gov will be able to support them in meeting the new deadline for enrolling in a health insurance plan: Dec 23. For those people who make this deadline, their new plans will take effect on Jan. 1, 2014.

500,000 people visited the exchange website over the weekend ending Dec. 15, according to Julie Bataille, communications director for CMS. "While we experience consistent traffic levels this weekend, the site remained stable," said Bataille.

How confident are you that exchange will be able to accommodate all consumers who wish to purchase insurance coverage by Dec. 23?

Very confident. Now that the challenges are better understood, I expect that they will be able to make continued improvements.
