What if Airlines Worked Like the U.S. Healthcare System?

Article

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This video is worth about a million words.

Over the last two-plus years, I have written dozens of blogs and thousands of words for Physicians Practice about the effects of lack of automation in our healthcare system. I wrote some early blogs comparing healthcare to various other industry sectors, including auto repair shops, furniture stores, restaurants, and - ironically - airlines

Recently I was at a two-day, national healthcare-technology symposium, and the opening keynote speaker kicked off the conference with a YouTube video that takes all the concepts in all the blogs referenced above to a whole new level.  It is entitled “If Air Travel Worked Like Healthcare” and can be viewed below.

Rather than spending seven minutes reading another blog from me, watch and comment on this video.  Make sure you watch the whole thing, including “Jonathan’s” rant that starts at about five minutes and “Cynthia’s” condescending response at the end.
