With this in mind, the tip of the week is a chance to reflect on some of the wisdom found all across the site.

In an August 2021 story on how to support LGBTQ+ patients year-round, Beth Battaglino, RN-C writes the following:

 Increase comfort and trust in care settings for LGBTQ patients by using identity affirming language, providing welcoming visual cues, and educating your team. Health disparities in this community are high and if we can lower the barriers to receiving care, we can help minimize the health disparities that exist.”
