Physicians already have a lot on their plates, but that doesn’t mean they can overlook preparations for ICD-10. Here’s how to get them involved in the transition.

Though physicians have a lot to deal with right now - from adoption of EHRs to declining reimbursement - it is critical that they also begin preparing for the transition to ICD-10.

For tips on how to secure physician buy-in, Physicians Practice sat down with urologist Nicholas Holmes, who leads the pediatric urology section of the UCSD Division of Urology and is director of pediatric urology at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, at the AHIMA 2012 ICD-10 Summit Conference in Baltimore.
